Kelsey Schad, LPC-S has been an LPC Supervisor since April 2025 and offers training and supervision for LPC-Associates.

Supervisors play such a big role on a clinicians journey to becoming fully licensed. A journey that is filled with uncertainty, self-doubt, and fear. On that journey I learned that it was super important to have a Supervisor who not only was a guiding light but also able to provide a sense of humanness and warmth at a time when I was learning, vulnerable and developing.

That’s what I hope to provide to you throughout your journey!

As a supervisor, I view our relationship as a partnership where we collaborate and learn together. Throughout supervision will learn on a professional level as well as personal.

Professionally, you will learn applicable laws for Texas and understand ethics in order to navigate ethical dilemmas . In addition, you will be exposed to a variety of theoretical approaches, understand case conceptualization and diagnosis, design interventions and therapeutic activities, build therapeutic alliances and understand importance of rapport, as well as writing / creating appropriate treatment documentation.

Personally, you will learn about yourself and the type of therapist you aspire to be. Throughout your supervision experience you will gain intimate knowledge regarding your interests, preferred niche, desired community all the while gaining confidence to step into your most authentic self in the therapeutic world.
